Please refer to Episode 5 How to wire wrap a donut pendant instructional video and complete your pendant prior to beginning the necklace. For this project I used approximately 12 inches for the coiled bracket and 12 inches for the wrapped heart.
Beading the necklace:
- I used 31 10 MM turquoise glass pearls from 1 strand, 6 8 MM zircon swarovski crystals, 8 4mm Rococo squares, 5 10mm gemstones and matching gemstone donut pendant. You may delete beads if you want shorter or add beads if you want it longer, my necklace is approximately 16 " in length with the toggle clasp.
- Cut 20" of beading wire and crimp one end of the toggle clasp.
- String on your 10MM gemstone, 3 10MM pearls, 1 rococo square, 1 10MM pearl and one 8 MM crystal. Repeat design beginning with the first glass pearl after the gemstone bead you started with. Repeat until you get to the 4th square bead then string on a gemstone bead, add your pendant, string on a gemstone bead then repeat pattern as just strung.
- Crimp the end into the other half of the toggle clasp. I will use approximately 2 inches extra on each end and then, once crimped on both ends, feed the 2 inch tail back through the strung beads until it is completely hidden. This helps to keep the beading wire from popping out by the clasp and being scratchy.
