Rating Used for a ring

I used this Supplemax for making one of Karla's rings from her videos, Youngee's ring I believe. It was easy to work with and the rings turned out beautiful. I get many compliments on them.

Rating Best illusion!

I made an illusion necklace with 5 strands using Miracle beads, silver Bali findings, and crystals. I finished it with the hummingbird clasp, which inspired me to add hummingbird findings to the matching earrings. One woman walked up to me and had to see it up close. She could not believe it was hand made! Karla really helped me out with her tips on using a tape to measure the spacing. With a little practice I was able to master the technique in no time.

Rating Great for Bead Weaving

This is a strong, easy to use product. Since it is clear, it can be hard to see while you're working. Just coloring the ends with a black Sharpie really helps.

Rating Easy to work with...

I found this nylon stringing material easy to work with. Be advised that it is hard to see, especially under artificial lighting. Better in the day with sun, when you are working with crystals or shiny white stuff. But the advantage really shows when you have the finished product and you CANNOT SEE the cord! That is worth everything. Plus, the price is great!

Q: In making the illusion necklace, I am having the .012 Supplemax breaking on me. I have wasted so much product in making this, because for six times now I am working on the 1st strand and when I get to the last bead I crimp it then the wire beaks!:(( Am I doing anything wrong or could this be a bad batch of the product? Could it possibly be the crimps cutting the wire? I have no idea, but I really want to offer this necklace type to my customers this holiday season. I love Aunties Beads and the excellent products you have to offer us bead enthusiast!:) Thank you, god bless, Susan Dalton
Asked by: - 9/2/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: It could be a couple of things: how you are crimping; the size crimp beads; a bad batch. If you are flat crimping, perhaps try a lighter hand when crimping, using chain nose pliers. A 2x2 or 1x1 crimp should work just fine for this design. Try pulling and tugging on a piece of the supplemax to see if it is breaking easily or seems brittle.
