I am a huge fan of TierraCast products and when I saw they had created metal seed beads, I had to get my hands on them. This bracelet is definitely one of my favorite creations to date. I love the (unintended) ripple effect the TierraCast seed beads create. Click here to download the PDF of this pattern.

This project requires knowledge of even count peyote. To learn more about this technique, please watch the Even Count Peyote Bracelet video.
    1
  1. Cut a comfortable length of thread (I started with about 6 feet). Thread a needle. String a stop bead and leave a long (18 inch) tail. 2
  2. Follow the pattern in the PDF to complete the main band of the bracelet. Note that as you first begin to add your TierraCast metal seed beads, the stitch will seem a little looser. Keep your tension tight as you work and as you add each floral pattern, you will see the pattern begin to dome slightly and create the ripples at the edge. 3
  3. When you reach the end, plug in two 15/0s between each 8/0. 4
  4. Run your needle and thread through the second to last row of 8/0s. Then run your needle and thread through the first two 15/0s and the first 8/0 at the edge of the bracelet. 5
  5. Run your needle and thread through the first hole at the end of the finding and then back through and up through the two 15/0s above the 8/0 your thread is exiting. 6
  6. Run your needle and thread through the second hole in the finding then back through and then up through the next 8/0. 7
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all the holes in the finding are wrapped with thread. 8
  8. The last beads you should have gone through would have been two 15/0s. Run your needle and thread through the 8/0 above those 15/0s. Take your needle and thread through the last hole in the finding then back down through the same 8/0. 9
  9. Run your thread through all the beads on the last row. When you get to the last 8/0, run your thread through the last hole in the finding and back through the last 8/0 in the row. 10
  10. Work your needle and thread through nearby beads, tying half-hitch knots as you work to reinforce the thread. Find an exit point and trim excess thread. 11
  11. Remove the stop bead from the other end. Put your needle on the tail thread. Repeat steps 3 through 10 on this end of the bracelet. 12
  12. Using 2 pair of chain nose pliers, open a jump ring. Attach it to a loop on the finding. Add half of your toggle clasp. Close the jump ring. Repeat on the other side.
