Respectfully Red Necklace
I am often drawn to the meanings of color or the "power" of a stone, perhaps it is my Native American heritage. But Color does play an important role in our daily lives. We use it to code so many things, as to traffic lights to our holiday themes. Well I have been told more than once in my life that "red" is my color. Red, the color of love and respect as well as many other things. Enjoy this design in your color or mine!
Instructions:
1. Cut (5) pieces of the cable chain, 3" long.
2. Cut an 6" piece of Artistic wire and start a small loop slipping it into end of one of the pieces cut above.
3. Drop a gunmetal rondelle on the wire and start another loop slipping it into another piece of cut chain closing the loop.
4. Continue building off of the previous chain unit, by connecting the next piece of chain with a 6mm pearl, alternating, rondelle and pearl until all 5 pieces have been connected and set aside.
5. Prepare the hammered flower chain in the following manner: Cut (2) small flower links from the chain; (2) small flower-large flower sections; (2) large flower-small flower-large flower sections; (2) small flower-large flower-small flower sections.
6. Connect the above pieces as follows: Wire wrap into the single small flower, (6mm pearl, rondelle, 12mm pearl) into the small flower-large flower section, (6mm pearl, rondelle, 14mm pearl) into the large flower-small flower-large flower section, (rondelle, 6mm pearl, 12mm pearl, 6mm pearl, rondelle) into the small flower-large flower-small flower section, (6mm pearl, 14mm pearl, 6mm pearl)mirroring the remaining sections as above.
7. Prepare the patterned diamond chain in the following manner: pry the sections apart reserving the connectors,(2) large diamond links (set aside);(2) small diamond-large diamond sections;(2) large diamond-small diamond-large diamond sections; (3)small diamond-large diamond-small diamond sections.
8. Connect the above pieces as follows: Wire wrap into the small diamond-large diamond-small diamond, (6mm pearl, rondelle, 12mm pearl) into the large diamond-small diamond section, (12mm pearl, rondelle, 6mm pearl) into the large diamon-small diamond-large diamond section, (6mm pearl, rondelle, 14mm pearl, rondelle, 6mm pearl) into the small diamond-large diamond-small diamond section, mirroring the remaining sections as above.
9. Using the connectors from the diamond chain, place one each onto the single large diamond link. and close with the chian nose pliers.
10. Connect the small chain section by wire wrapping each end into the diamond link with a 6mm pearl link on the end with a rondelle and a rondelle to the other end with the pearl to continue the pattern.
11. Connect the flower chain section below the small chain into the diamond link with connectors from the diamond chain, closing with the chain nose pliers.
12. Connect the diamond chain section below the flower chain into the diamond link with connectors from the diamond chain, closing with the chain nose pliers.
13. To complete the necklace, add the toggle clasp again using the connectors from the diamond chain previously added.
