Customer Reviews
Peek-a-Boo Ring
When I started making this ring, I was just going to pour seed beads into the ring blank but I wanted to add a little pizzazz to the design. I discovered that the filigree fits perfectly over the ring blank itself. With the seed beads shining through underneath and the flat back glued on top, I was able to create a ring that is multi-dimensional—and oh so fun!
Shanna Steele, Auntie's Beads Designer
Instructions:
1. Apply a thin layer of DG3 gel to the bottom of the oval. Sprinkle seed beads on top. (You may want to remove any large seed beads). Make sure the seed beads are flat and level with the lip of the ring. If you have extras, you may want to use tweezers to remove bulky or extra beads.
NOTE: I tested mine by making sure my filigree would lay flat all the way around the edge of the ring. Set aside and allow a dry time of about 24 hours.
2. Apply another layer of DG3 gel over the top of the seed beads. Allow this layer to dry for about 24 hours.
3. Put a dab of E6000 on the back of the flat back. Use tweezers to adhere the flat back to the top of the filigree, centering it on the hole in the middle.
4. Apply a thin layer of E6000 around the outer edge of the oval on the ring blank. Apply the filigree to the top of the ring blank. Allow to dry overnight.
