Q: Permanent coated?
Asked by: Kolleen Mailloux - 6/4/2015
A: The only permanent coat I am aware of is the Dura Coat which is used in reference to the Galvanized Metal seed beads.

Q: Thanks Karla I think a different Japanese seed bead company uses the phrase "permacoat". The duracoat process is what I meant. If Myuki's metallic beads aren't duracoated, can I expect the finish to wear off? How dureable can I expect it to be? Thanks!
Asked by: Kolleen - 6/9/2015
A: I just looked at Miyuki and they say that the finish "may" come off with friction and contact with acid in the skin. I would think if worn all the time it maybe more of a factor than just occasional wear. I haven't really noticed any of my turning or color coming off. But I rotate my jewelry quite a bit. I hope that helps!
