Customer Reviews
Metallic Magic Necklace
This necklace is so inexpensive to make but just looks so rich and magical to me! The colors are brilliant but neutral enough to be worn with just about anything. I think I might just have to make one for myself… in every color!!!
Shanna Steele, Auntie's Beads Designer
Instructions:
NOTE: If using a multi mix to complete this design, you will want to pull out 20 beads that are the same size and shape before continuing. (See step 3.)
1. Cut a piece of beading wire measuring about 10 inches. String a crimp bead and a seed bead toward one end. Run the wire through the bronze rondelle then back down through the seed bead and crimp bead. Crimp.
2. String 2 inches of seed beads.
3. String the following: heliotrope rondelle, seed bead, bronze rondelle, seed bead, barrel bead, seed bead, bronze rondelle, seed bead, heliotrope rondelle.
NOTE: The seed beads used to space your rondelles and barrel bead are the ones you set aside before you began. Using the same size and shape bead will help keep your work evenly spaced.
4. String 2 more inches of seed beads.
5. String a crimp bead followed by a seed bead. Run your wire through a bronze rondelle then back down through the seed bead, crimp bead, and a few nearby seed beads. Crimp. Cut excess wire.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 adding each piece of new wire to the last bronze rondelle added. You will want to repeat this process until you have used all of your barrel beads. When you are on your last beaded section, secure the wire to the very first bronze rondelle added (in step 1). This will make your necklace a continuous piece that you can throw on easily!
