How to Cut and End Memory Wire

Memory wire is a thin tempered stainless steel wire used to create chockers, bracelets, anklets, and rings that make a bold bead statement. Rigid memory wire is corrosion and tarnish-resistant and, like a spring, it snaps back to its original form when expanded and released.

Memory Wire Step 1

Cut
1. Because this is a tempered wire it is best to cut memory wire with Memory Wire Shears or something heavier than a jewelry nipper tool.

Memory Wire Step 2

End memory Wire (loop)
2. Grasp one end of Memory Wire with Flat Nose Pliers.

Memory Wire Step 3

3. Using your Round Nose Pliers grasp the wire at the very end.
Memory Wire Step 4

4. Roll the pliers forward forming a loop.

Memory Wire Step 5

End Memory Wire with End Caps
5. Add a drop of glue to end of memory wire and place end cap over glue and hold until it is set.
