The hammered links by TierraCast are probably my favorite jewelry findings on the market. I have been making earrings with them for years and recently made a pair called
Linked In Earrings
, so I wanted to create a necklace that would go with the new earring design nicely, but would also be a great stand alone piece. Mission accomplished! You can also create the link part of this necklace and attach a toggle (instead of adding chain) to create the perfect bracelet!

Instructions:
A note about this piece: I chose to double up on jump rings to add substance, drama and extra security to the links and give the earrings a bit of a chain maille vibe. You don't have to do this, but I would recommend it.
Cut 2 pieces of chain measuring about 5" each. Set aside.
Attach 4 antique brass jump rings to your 20mm gunmetal hammered link.
Attach 4 gunmetal jump rings to a 20mm antique brass hammered link.
Repeat step 3 on the other 20mm antique brass link.
Attach 4 antique brass jump rings to a 13mm gunmetal link.
Repeat step 5 on the other 13mm gunmetal link.
Attach 4 gunmetal jump rings to a 13mm antique brass hammered link.
Repeat step 7 on the other 13mm antique brass link.
Attach 4 antique brass jump rings to a 10mm gunmetal hammered link.
Make sure all jump rings added in steps 2 through 9 are secure.
Open an antique brass jump ring. Attach it to 2 of the antique brass jump rings on the 20mm gunmetal link. Then attach it to 2 of the gunmetal jump rings on a 20mm antique brass link. Close the jump ring. Attach another antique brass jump ring.
Open a gunmetal jump ring. Attach it to the other 2 gunmetal jump rings on the link from step 11. Then attach it to 2 of the antique brass jump rings on a 13mm gunmetal link. Close the jump ring. Attach another gunmetal jump ring.
Open an antique brass jump ring. Attach it to the other 2 jump rings on the 13mm gunmetal link from step 12. Then attach it to 2 of the gunmetal jump rings on a 13mm antique brass link. Close the jump ring. Attach another antique brass jump ring.
Open a gunmetal jump ring. Attach it to the other 2 gunmetal jump rings from the 13mm antique brass link in step 13. Then attach it to 2 of the antique brass jump rings on a 10mm gunmetal link. Close the jump ring. Attach another gunmetal jump ring.
Open a gunmetal jump ring. Attach it to the other 2 antique brass jump rings on the 10mm gunmetal link in step 13. Close the jump ring. Attach another gunmetal jump ring.
Open an antique brass jump ring. Attach it to the 2 gunmetal jump rings added in step 15. Then attach it to one end of the 5 inch piece of chain. Close the jump ring. Attach another antique brass jump ring.
Open an antique brass jump ring. Attach it to the other end of the 5 inch piece of chain then to one half of the toggle clasp. Close the jump ring.
Repeat steps 12 through 17 to complete the necklace.
