A: It means that this pendant is 40 millimeters wide by 52 millimeters long. It takes about 26 millimeters to equal one inch, so this bead would be about one and a half inches wide and two inches tall.

Q:I want to make this into a necklace but I cant figure out how. Should I use ribbon or wire?
A: That is largely up to you and is a personal choice. If you want to simply highlight the pendnat, I would use ribbon or suede to make a simple knot. You can use a pendant bail to hold the pendant in place and then string your beaded work. Or you can create your own beaded bail and string color coordinated seed beads, crystals or glass beads. I would not use a hard/craft wire to create a bail.
