Kumihimo Episode 2: Polka Dot Pattern

Part Number:VIDEO-0132

So I believe Dena has created a monster...I am going Kumihimo crazy! She inspired this next pattern and wrap bracelet. She shared her books with me and we are calling this pattern a polka dot. We are using three colors, one being the predominate color and the other two the "polka dots". I am also using waxed cording and making a wrapped bracelet. Remember when I offered the tip that the braid will stretch? Well that is how Dena's bracelet ended up a necklace...which I said could be worn as a wrap bracelet. We will also use a button as a closure so there will be a new way to end this piece!

Tips and Tricks
  • Kumihimo braids can be stretched after you remove them from your disc to add a bit of length
  • You can use a button and loop to make a closure.
