So I believe Dena has created a monster...I am going Kumihimo crazy! She inspired this next pattern and wrap bracelet. She shared her books with me and we are calling this pattern a polka dot. We are using three colors, one being the predominate color and the other two the "polka dots". I am also using waxed cording and making a wrapped bracelet. Remember when I offered the tip that the braid will stretch? Well that is how Dena's bracelet ended up a necklace...which I said could be worn as a wrap bracelet. We will also use a button as a closure so there will be a new way to end this piece!
Tips and Tricks
Kumihimo braids can be stretched after you remove them from your disc to add a bit of length
I love the pattern! I'm looking for the printed instructions.

Questions and Answers
Q:Karla mentions Dena in the written portion below the video, she says she shared her books with me I am wondering has Dena written a book or books on Kumihimo and if so can they be purchased yes Karlas videos are helpful but sometime for me it is much easier to read the written directions. if there is no book available can i purchase written instructions for the different Kumihimo episodes.. Or of Karlas videos???
A: Nancy, There are many people who do better with written instructions. Though Dena is a co-worker/designer that taught me the Kumihimo, not an author of books. However there is a wealth of books on the craft. We have found many of them on Amazon. Just google or go to Amazon.com and inquire about Kumihimo books! Karla
