Description
Making rings is one of my favorite things to do and the
composite rose beads
lend themselves to beautiful and simple wire wrapped rings. Choose your favorite color rose and find a great color in 20 gauge

Instructions:
This project requires knowledge of working with wire to create wire wrapped rings. For more information on this technique, please watch the

video.
Cut a piece of artistic wire measuring about 36" in length. Run the wire through your hands to smooth and straighten it.
Center your rose bead on the piece of wire. Bend the wire down on either side of the bead so it is running at a right angle beside the bead.
Place the bead and wire on the ring mandrel at one full size larger than the desired size. (If, for example, you want to make a size 8 ring, put the bead and wire at the 9 marker.)
Wrap each side of the wire around the mandrel an even number of times. I usually wrap the wire 3 full times so my band has a total of 6 pieces of wire.
Bring your wires across the bead so they are on opposite sides of the bead and running in opposite directions.
Remove the ring from the mandrel. Wrap one piece of wire around the band 5-6 times. Cut excess wire. Use chain nose pliers to tuck the wire. Repeat on the other side.
Place your ring back on the mandrel to reshape it and make sure it is the desired size.

just rosy ring project
i love the look of the ring ! its very playful. Love the colors! But i think pictures would have been more helpful. i just didnt "get" the instructions. Does the wire run thru the flower by the way? Or does it run under it?
