Project

Before you begin, lay out the 2-hole sea glass oval beads so that they are in pairs and are laying end to end. Each pair should have the wider ends touching one another and the domed side facing up. The placement of these pairings will help when you go to string your beads.
  1. Cut a piece of beading wire measuring about 20 inches. Double it over and make sure your ends are even. One one end, string a heishi bead followed by a 4mm round glass bead. Continue to string the beads in this order until you have strung a total of 8 heishi beads and 8 4mm round glass beads. String one more heishi bead.
  2. Pull the ends of your wire together and string a 4mm round glass bead. You should have a loop or circle of glass beads. Make sure that the loop of round glass beads you have just created is not too tight; it needs to allow for a button to pass through. Pull the wires apart again and string a hesihi bead, a round glass bead and another heishi bead on each wire.
  3. Put a bead stopper on one side of your wire right above the last heishi bead added. You are only going to work with one strand for a while.
  4. Run your wire through a hole in the 2-hole sea glass bead. Run your wire through the outer hole in a heishi spacer bar. Run your wire through the next 2-hole sea glass bead.
  5. Add a heishi spacer, a 4mm glass round bead and another heishi spacer.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 three more times.
  7. Remove the stopper from the other wire. Run the wire through the other hole in the 2-hole sea glass bead that is already strung, then through the outer hole of the heishi spacer, then through the open hole of the other 2-hole sea glass bead.
  8. Add a heishi spacer, a 4mm glass round bead, and another heishi spacer.
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 three more times.
  10. On each end of your wire, add one more 4mm round glass bead. One one side, add a crimp bead; on the other side, add a button.
  11. Run the wire with the crimp bead through the button then down through the 4mm round next to it. Run the wire with the button down through the crimp bead and then through the 4mm glass round next to it.
  12. Pull both wires as snugly as you can. Use your chain nose pliers to flat crimp the crimp bead. Cut excess wire. Your bracelet is now ready to wear!
