About This Project

These beads are so bright, I gotta wear shades... But seriously: how much fun are they?! Neons are all the rage and I thought it would be super fun to play with a few colors and separate them by silver tubes. The result is a memory wire bracelet that wears like a retro bangle.

Shanna Steele, Aunties Beads Designer

  1. Using your memory wire shears, cut your memory wire so you have 5-6 full coils. Using your memory wire bending pliers on the smaller jaw, make a loop at one end of the coil of wire.
  2. String a 4mm pink pearl followed by a curved silver tube.
  3. String the following pattern: 4mm pink pearl, 6mm yellow pearl, 8mm green pearl, bead cap, 10mm orange pearl, bead cap, 8mm green pearl, 6mm yellow pearl, 4mm pink pearl. Follow this pattern with a silver tube.
  4. Repeat step 3 eight more times. You should have used all of your curved tubes and all of your larger pearls.
  5. Add a 4mm pink pearl. If necessary, cut your memory wire. Use your bending pliers to make a loop for closure.

So Hot it's Cool!
Great bracelet Shanna! Love the neons with the silver tubes. One question though, are the bead caps shiny silver with a green reflection from the adjacent beads? Or are they actually colored?
Shanna's Response: I am so glad you love the bracelet! I am not usually a fan of bright colors, but I couldn't resist making this fun piece - and now I have to make one for myself! I am glad you caught a mistake in the materials list. In the instructions, I tell you to add bead caps, but I didn't put which bead caps they were in the materials list. I have corrected that now; they are shiny silver bead caps - and yes, they do reflect the colors of the beads!

Super fun!
This was my first project using wire (of any kind) and I really enjoyed it! Super fast, great colors and I love the silver tubes. I'll be making more of these in other color schemes as well! Great project, especially for a beginner.
