Project Description:

These blue agate beads are absolutely gorgeous.  They look great paired with leather

Kelly McCoy, Auntie’s Beads Designer

The following project uses the leather and crimp ends.  If you are new to using leather and crimp ends, I recommend watching our leather and crimp ends instructional video.

1.  Select the 6 prettiest blue agate rounds.  Use your nipper tool to cut a 6 inch piece of beading wire.
2.  Attach a split ring to the top of your cross pendant.  String a pattern of blue agate round, bali bead, blue agate round, bali bead, blue agate round and then add your cross.  Repeat on the other side of the cross so that it matches.
3.  Cut four, 7 inch pieces of leather.  Hold two together and force them into a gunmetal crimp end.  Crimp the center of the crimp end with your pliers. Add a crimp end to the other end of the leather as well.  Do the same with the other two pieces of leather.
4.  Crimp your beaded wire from step 2 to both pieces of leather.  Use split rings to add your clasp to the crimp ends on the other ends of the leather.

Rating love the beads
This project intrigued me because of the beads. I will use the instructions to help me make a necklace with the beads, but not sure the leather works for me. The possibilities of using chain, leather, or ribbon is endless. It really showcases the beads.
