Gypsy Magic Necklace
There is something mystical and magical about the oversized beaded bead. The rich metallic luster of the Chinese Crystal creates a lure of gypsy magic to the design. Swags of antique copper chain with additional Chinese Crystals in Copper and Metallic Plum just add to the interest. The chains collect to one side in a filigree finding with a hook and eye clasp.

Instructions:
1. Cut (1) 8 link piece; (3) 5 link piece, (3) 10 link piece of the 6mm hammered curb chain (large as referred below).
2. Cut (1) 14 link piece; (2) 15 link piece; (1) 20 link piece and 12” length of the 4.2mm curb chain, (medium as referred below).
3. Cut (1) 20 link piece; (2) 25 link piece of the 2.8mm curb chain, (small as referred below).
4. On an eye pin, drop a copper rondelle, beaded bead, rondelle and make a rosary loop. Refer to Karla Kam “Y” necklace for a how to.
5. Open a jump ring with the chain nose pliers and slip it into the eye of the beaded bead unit as well as a 5 link piece of the large chain, closing the jump ring.
6. We will work our large chain strand first:
a. Add an eye pin to the other end of the 5 link chain and close.
b. Drop a rondelle and create a rosary loop.
c. Open the new loop and add a 10 link chain piece, close.
d. Add an eye pin to the end of the above chain, dropping a helix and create a rosary loop.
e. Open the new loop and add a 5 link chain piece, close dropping a rondelle on the eye and create a rosary loop.
f. Open the new loop and add a 10 link chain piece, close.
g. Add an eye pin to the end of the above chain, dropping a helix and create a rosary loop.
h. Open the new loop and add a 5 link chain piece, close dropping a rondelle on the eye and create a rosary loop.
i. Open the new loop and add the 8 link chain piece and attach to the filigree with a jump ring. (Positioning the filigree with three loops at the bottom and top, attaching this strand into the outer loop.)
7. We will now work the medium chain strand by adding a 15 link piece of chain to the jump ring below the beaded bead, next to the large chain:
a. Add an eye pin to the other end of the 15 link chain and close.
b. Drop a rondelle and create a rosary loop.
c. Open the new loop and add a 20 link chain piece, close.
d. Add an eye pin to the end of the above chain, dropping a helix and create a rosary loop.
e. Open the new loop and add a 15 link chain piece, close dropping a rondelle on the eye and create a rosary loop.
f. Open the new loop and add a 14 link chain piece and attach to the filigree with a jump ring, utilizing the center loop.
8. We will now work the small chain strand by adding a 25 link piece of chain to the jump ring below the beaded bead, next the medium chain:
a. Add an eye pin to the other end of the 25 link chain and close.
b. Drop a rondelle and create a rosary loop.
c. Open the new loop and add a 20 link chain piece, close.
d. Add an eye pin to the end of the above chain, dropping a helix and create a rosary loop.
e. Open the new loop and add a 25 link chain piece and attach to the filigree with a jump ring, utilizing the last loop.
9. Open the eye above the beaded bead and add the 10 link piece of large chain, close.
10. Attach an eye pin to the other end of chain, dropping a helix and create a rosary loop.
11. Add the 12” length of medium chain to the new rosary loop and close.
12. Open an eye pin attaching it to the end of the medium chain length, dropping a rondelle and creating a rosary loop.
13. Open the new loop and attach the eye of the hook and eye clasp, close.
14. Attach the hook of the clasp to the middle loop of the filigree finding to complete the necklace.
