"I love ordering through auntiesbeads.com! I live in a town where the closest thing to a bead store (hobby lobby) is
30 minutes away and the quality and service aren't up to par. With your website I can get most everything I need in
a very short period of time and with anything that isn't available I can sign up for emails to let me know when they
become available. Thank you for being my go-to bead supplier!"

Being rather new to jewelry making I am eager to learn. Auntie's Beads not only has the supplies I will need but
also the knowledge to help. My Beader's Advantage Membership will allow me to explore this new world without
going broke!!!

I had never ordered from Auntie's Beads until Last Dec. 2011. I placed an order, and within a couple of days, it was
in my mailbox. WOW!! that is Customer Service. I had ordered from other companies, and my wait time was 5-7
days. I will be placing all my orders from Auntie's Beads.

I am a fairly new beader. I would like to commend you all on your superior service. You have all the items that I need
at a great price and they are always correct when they arrive. My products arrive pretty quickly. Just awesome!

There are some 130 types of stones, minerals and crystals that can be considered semi precious gemstones.
Nearly all have been fashioned into beads or pendants for making beaded gemstone jewelry. Examples include amethyst, carnelian, rose quartz, topaz, aquamarine, agate, tiger's eye, tourmaline, aventurine, moonstone, jasper, citrine, jade, howlite, hematite, malachite, obsidian, and turquoise. Most stones used in jewelry making are hard, but a few softer minerals are used because of other attractive properties, such as luster.
SmartBeadShopping™ Tip: What is a "gemstone?" A gemstone is simply a precious or semi-precious stone that is cut and polished to make jewelry and other items. Most but not all rocks are minerals (amber is an organic material but is still considered a gemstone). In short, you will rarely be wrong in calling something a gemstone or a semiprecious stone, but "precious gemstones" are limited to diamonds, rubies, and such. Confused? Don't worry, we won't be giving a test!
