3. Why do I have to pay sales tax?
Sales tax is added to orders shipped to Texas because that is where Auntie's Beads is located. The sales rate varies by state. The sales tax for Texas is 8.25%. If you are a tax exempt customer, you will need to fax your sales tax ID to Auntie's Beads at 817-421-3214. |

Auntie's Beads keeps our costs down by not offering a printed catalog. New products are added almost daily; a print catalog could never keep up with us!

11. Why do some of your prices change periodically?
Many of the prices for our products are subject to change based on continuous fluctuations in the price of silver, which, in 2007 and 2008, has increased significantly. The availability of certain products can also be a factor in price changes. 13. What do the "/0" numbers beside the seed beads mean?
Seed beads are sized in aughts, which are different than millimeters. No one seems to know exactly what an “aught” is but remember that the bead sizes are in inverse proportion to the size of the beads. A size 15 is very small, and size 6 is big.

14. Why are my PayPal orders taking so long to arrive?
Some PayPal orders get delayed depending on when payment actually goes through for the order. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do on our end to speed up this process. If you are using PayPal to pay for your order and think there is a problem with your payment process, please try contacting PayPal first. We suggest not using PayPal to pay for your orders on Trunk Show product because of this delay in processing. It often causes customers not to receive their Trunk Show products because these products are typically exclusive and one-time-only in availability and are therefore time-sensitive to the customer.

15. How do my Auntie's Beads Rewards Points work?
You will begin receiving Rewards Points at a rate of 1 point per dollar spent at AuntiesBeads.com as soon as your first order is processed and shipped. If you see that your Rewards Points haven't been added to your account yet, try checking back later in the day. We ship out all orders that we receive before 2PM CST Monday through Friday on the same day so once you place an order, either check back at 2:00 Central or - if it's already after 2 - the following business day. Once you have accumulated enough points for a particular item, you may use them toward the free product on our Rewards Products page. If you return an item that was purchased with Rewards Points, the points will not be retained.

16. Does Auntie’s Beads contribute to charities or provide special pricing for non-profit organizations?
Yearly, Auntie’s Beads selects the organizations that we support financially and with our time. We donate to our designated organizations all throughout the year.

17. Why can't I view all the images on your site?
The problem with viewing images usually stems from a setting in Mcafee Security Center on Windows XP. Mcafee Security Center has a bug which causes it to classify legitimate sites with a large number of images as advertisements. This will stop the images on the page from loading. Here's how to fix the issue:

19. Are Czech Glass Beads lead-free? What about Pewter Beads?
We are in the process of trying to verify this ourselves.... So far our suppliers have not been able to give us complete information. They tell us that all colors exept the reds, topaz, and yellows are lead-free, but we have not received any certification.

23. How can I change my AuntiesBeads.com account email address?
Click on My Account at the top of any page (you may need to log in) and then click on the Update Address link next to your Billing Address. There will be a box on this page that you can use to change your email address. Note that you will need to update your password, as well. |

24. How do I use the Waiting list? |
When you see that an item we carry has zero Availability (which you can view on each Product page), just click on the button that reads “Put me on the Waiting List” and fill out your information. You will later be notified via email once the product gets restocked.

25. Which products am I on the Waiting List for? |
Although there is not an actual list to view on your account page, you can simply email the product to yourself to save for your own records. To do this, simply click the Email a Friend link just below the product image and fill out the information including the email you would like to have the record sent to.
