Project Description:

I am struggling with what is my signature style. After spending time with my family it is clear that my two oldest nieces have their style pegged. I am all over the place, so these two pieces maybe an influence of Emily's vintage, sometimes "indie" style. I always make her things using the Antique Brass metals and hues that go with, so I am certain she would like this...I like it...perhaps my signature is just eclectic...I do like a bit of everything. Best part about this project, you can substitute any of the components to suit your unique style and signature!

Instructions:

I will be using Rosary Loops in this construction, so please watch the Rosary Loops Video for a "how to".

~Earrings~

Note: Save your head pin clippings to be used as eye pins in the construction of the necklace.

  1. Using chain nose pliers, open the earring wire and slip it into the top loop of the earring finding and close.
  2. Drop the 8mm Crystal Bronze Shade bicone onto a head pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 5/8" and create rosary loop at the end with the wire looping pliers.
  3. Slip this dangle into the center loop of the finding.
  4. Drop a 6mm round sea glass bead onto a head pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 1/2" and create rosary at the end with the wire looping pliers.
  5. Make two of these and place them in the loops on either side of the Crystal Bronze drop.
  6. Drop a 4mm Lt. Rose bicone on a head pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 3/4" and create rosary loop at the end with the wire looping pliers.
  7. Make two of these and place them in the loops on either side of the sea glass drops.
  8. Repeat Steps 1-7 to complete the pair.

~Necklace~

When applicable, use the clippings form the head pins to create eye pins, best used within the body of the necklace, Steps 10-25.

  1. Working the focal first, drop the Fancy Square Bead onto an eye pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 1" and create rosary loop at the end with the wire looping pliers using the second level up on the jaws to make a larger loop.
  2. Slip it into one of the holes on the Antique Brass Round Link and close.
  3. Drop 8mm Crystal Bronze Shade bicone onto an eye pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 5/8" and create rosary loop at the end with the wire looping pliers on the second level to make a larger loop.
  4. Make two, and slip them onto the round link on either side of the fixed dangle.
  5. Drop a 6mm round sea glass bead onto an eye pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 1/2" and create rosary at the end with the wire looping pliers on the second level to create a larger loop.
  6. Make two of these and place them on the round link on either side of the Crystal Bronze drops.
  7. Drop a 4mm Lt. Rose bicone on an eye pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 3/4" and create rosary loop at the end with the wire looping pliers on the second level to create a larger loop.
  8. Make two of these and place them on the round link on either side of the Sea Glass drops.
  9. Drop a 6mm round sea glass bead onto a eye pin, measuring from the top of the bead, snip it to 3/4" and create rosary at the end with the wire looping pliers.
  10. Slip one end of the bead unit into the top hole of the round link and close.
  11. Cut a piece of chain about 6" in length.
  12. Attach the pendant dangle to the twelfth link or about 2" in from the end of the chain.
  13. Now working from the short end up, create a small bead unit on an eye pin or from the head pin clippings, consisting of a 4mm bronze shade bicone, measure from the top of the bead, snip to just under 3/8" and create a rosary loop.
  14. Attach one end to the short end of the chain and the other to the oval link.
  15. Make another beaded unit consisting of a 4mm Lt. Rose bicone and 6mm round sea glass.
  16. Connect this unit to the other end of the oval link and to a 2" piece of chain.
  17. Make another beaded unit consisting of a 4mm Lt. Rose bicone and a Bronze Shade.
  18. Connect to the other end of the 2" piece of chain and into one loop of the fancy square link.
  19. Create another bead unit, consisting of a 6mm round sea glass bead.
  20. Connect it into the other end of the fancy square link and an 8" piece of chain.
  21. Create another bead unit, consisting of a 6mm round sea glass bead and connect it to the other end of the 8" piece of chain.
  22. Working the other side of the necklace up, create a bead unit consisting of a Lt. Rose 8mm bicone.
  23. Connect it into the long end of the chain from the pendant and to an oval link.
  24. Create another beaded unit consisting of a 4mm Lt. Rose bicone and a 4mm Bronze Shade bicone.
  25. Connect into the other end of the oval link and to the 9 1/2" piece of chain on from the other end.
  26. To complete the necklace connect into the beaded unit on the other side of the necklace.
