These leather blanks are your canvas to design upon! It is as simple as adding a link, filigree or other hardware with a few swift whacks of a hammer and some rivets! The techniques used in this project, hole punching, snap and rivet setting.

This project uses hole punching and a riveting and snap setting technique, if you are not familiar with these techniques, please watch the following videos:

    Through the Keyhole Cuff
  1. Using the Gunmetal Leather blank, punch a hole on the center edge of the short end, 3/8" from the edge, using the revolving hole punch or mini hole punch tool, repeat for both edges, according to the video.
  2. Find the center of the leather blank and place the keyhole link at the center and mark the two holes with a pen and punch as above.
  3. Place the post of the rivet from the underside of the leather through the hole punched, through the hole of the link and press the top of the rivet until it is engaged, then hammer the rivet by placing it on the bench block and striking it with the hammer from the backside, using the rivet tool setter, much like was done in the video.
  4. Set the 24L snap to complete the bracelet, buy adding the proper pieces together as seen in the video.

  5. Using the Gold Leather blank, punch a hole on the center edge of the short end, 3/8" from the edge, using the revolving hole punch or mini hole punch tool, repeat for both edges, according to the video.
  6. Find the center of the leather blank and place the filigree at the center and mark the center hole with a pen and punch as above.
  7. Place the post of the rivet from the underside of the leather through the hole punched, through the hole of the filigree, widening the hole of the filigree if necessary with a bead reamer or round nose pliers and press the top of the rivet until it is engaged, then hammer the rivet by placing it on the bench block and striking it with the hammer from the backside. Using the rivet tool setter, much like was done in the video.
  8. Set the 24L snap to complete the bracelet, buy adding the proper pieces together as seen in the video.
  9. Manipulate the filigree as you desire to make it have a bit more depth, by bending the petals upwards.
