Artist Bio:
Polymer clay aficianado Jan is a mother and grandmother (her 4th is "in the oven" at the time of this writing). She works as a nurse case manager, and started making jewelry with her grown daughter recently. She's dabbled in sewing, candle making, soap making, and woodworking before getting into jewelry design.
As you can readily see, Jan's favorite medium lately is polymer clay, and she now thinks it's "her" medium.
We would agree. Her application of Mokume Gane techniques to polymer clay is interesting. And note how the mica shift technique she uses on the brown pendant creates a 3d, stamped leather look.
