Description
I am in love with our hand-wrapped beaded chain. While looking at all the different colors and patterns and trying to figure out what I wanted to create, the first thing that came to my mind was a layered chain piece. This necklace has a very simple color palette, but the layers of chain and beading add texture and dimension for a necklace that is full of drama!

Instructions:
Cut your chain into the following lengths: 9” piece of curb chain, 10” piece of jet/copper beaded chain, 12” piece of Czech glass jet/copper beaded chain, 13” piece of curb chain.
Attach one end of the 9” and 10” pieces to a jump ring. Attach the jump ring to one of the outside loops on the 3-to-1 connector. Close the jump ring. Open a jump ring and attach it to the other ends of the chain. Attach the jump ring to an outside loop on the other 3-to-1 connector. Close the jump ring.
Attach one end of the 12” and 13” pieces of chain to a jump ring. Attach the jump ring to the bottom loop of the 3-to-1 connector. Close the jump ring. Open a jump ring and attach it to the other ends of the chain. Attach the jump ring to the corresponding loop on the other 3-to-1 connector. Close the jump ring.
Cut a 15” piece of beading wire. String a crimp bead and a copper faceted rondelle. Run the beading wire through the middle loop of the 3-to-1 connector (in between the chain segments) then back down through the crimp bead and the rondelle. Crimp. String your beads in an alternating rondelle, 8mm onyx round bead pattern until you have used 26 rondelles and 25 onyx beads. Add a crimp bead. Run the beading wire through the center loop on the other 3-to-1 connector then back down through the crimp bead and a rondelle. Crimp. Cut excess wire.
Cut a 12” piece of curb chain and a 12” piece of jet/copper beaded chain. Open a jump ring. Attach the jump ring to the ends of the chain segments just cut then attach the jump ring to the bar end of the toggle. Close the jump ring. Attach another jump ring to the chains and bar for added security.
Cut a 5” piece of beading wire. Add a crimp bead. Run the wire through the single loop on one of the 3-to-1 connectors, then run the wire through the crimp bead. Crimp.
Add a rondelle, your onyx pendant, another rondelle, and a crimp bead. Run the beading wire through the ends of the 2 chain segments from step 5 then back down through the crimp bead then through the rondelle. Crimp. Cut excess wire.
Open a jump ring. Attach the ring portion of your toggle clasp to the single loop on the open 3-to-1 connector. Close the jump ring. Attach another jump ring for extra security.
