Girly Color Combinations for Winter 2011
Pink, Purple, Blue and Black are inspiring me right now. This color combination has a very playful, feminine and slightly wild feel to it. I'm tempted to describe the palette in food lingo, because it reminds me of sweet candy. Something about tossing all three colors- blue, pink and purple, together, with classic black in the background to keep the design from becoming busy, makes me feel like I've created something a little bit daring. The colors look youthful when placed together, but when black joins the party I think it becomes a little more grown-up.
What do you think of this palette? I generally shy away from pink, but with these darker hues, I suddenly like it better. What color palettes are inspiring you this Winter?
