Project Description:

Create a unique necklace with a twist out of a brand new product we have here at Auntie's Beads -- Climbing Rope! The climbing cord is soft and supple so feels good against your skin. Specialty findings make designing easy and fun.

Materials used for this necklace include 10mm climbing cord in gold and silver, with an antique silver cord ending and hook. Links to all the materials and tools are included below.

Instructions:
  1. Cut three pieces of the climbing cord using the little cut tool, in the silver: (1) 9" and (1) 15"; (1) 8" in the gold.
  2. Use tape or burn the ends with a lighter to prevent raveling. (Tip: if you have received the cord with a melted end and find it hard to slide on the findings, just trim the melted ends with a nipper tool.)
  3. Using the double end-cap place a bit of E6000 into the finding and place one end of the short piece of gold and silver, gently twist the cords and glue the other ends into the other double finding.
  4. For the Necklace "chain" use the longer piece of silver cord.
  5. Dry fit the finding before gluing to check the length. Trim if necessary.
  6. When ready to apply the ends, put a dab of E6000 into the end finding cap and add the cord, twisting it to insure it is in all the way.
  7. Repeat for the other side.
  8. These ends will hook into the twisted rope "pendant" we made above.
  9. Let dry for several hours before wearing.
