Lapis is an opaque gemstone that may range from light to dark blue, but is typically seen as more of navy in color. It has deposits of several minerals, including sodalite, calcite and pyrite. The presence of pyrite is generally what gives it is sparkling luster. Almost all of our lapis beads are deep blue in color and we have many beautiful lapis pendants to match our gemstone selection.
