African Helix Stitch Bracelet

We will be completing the African Helix Stitched Bracelet we started last week! I will demonstrate the finishing technique using seed beads with two Swarovski Crystal Rounds and a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp.

11/0 seed beads in your choice of color - 2 ten gram bags
Fireline Fine Crystal, 6 lb. Thread, 50 Yards, .008
English Beading Needles, Size 10, 4-Pack- 1pc
Your choice of Swarovski Crystal, 6mm Round Faceted - 2pc

HELP
I've tried making this bracelet twice. The pattern isn't my problem. Has anyone experienced the "tube" collapsing and suddenly increasing the length by 100%??? If so, how do I prevent this???
Editor's Note:
If you are having a problem with the stitch collapsing, it is usually a tension issue. Make sure you are keeping your work tight, especially toward the end.

nice bracelet
HELIX STITCH This really nice design looks easy. Once I get the hang of this stitch, I will make two of them. Red and white,green and white bracelet...like Christmas...

Gorgeous Bracelet
I have to say, this bracelet is one of my "I MADE this" pieces. It looks very difficult but is pretty simple once you get the hang of the stitch, as another reviewer said. I made about 6 of these over 2 or 3 days last winter. One tip: Be careful with the length. I was too generous on most of the ones I made and they were a bit too big once I added the clasps.

African Helix Stitch
I did this stitch for a beading competition last year, using purple and black seed beads. I made a 17 inch necklace and it was fabulous! Thanks.. You make it easy to learn the stitch
