About This Project

We are all clamoring for these new earring findings that Susie just brought in! I mean who wouldn't want a quick and easy pair of earrings that takes less time to make than for you to pick out the add-a-bead earring finding and the bead to add! I know, who am I kidding...I want all of them! But it was something Shanna said that struck me, we all like earrings, as she says that is the most gifted item she makes for her mother, because she does too! This is one of the simplest fastest gifts you could make for someone! Pick an add-a-bead earring finding, your bead of choice and ear wire and you have it!

  1. The findings prongs will vary is length, but they are work the same, so these instructions will work for each of the findings.
  2. Gently pull the finding apart, much like you would a jump ring with your fingers or nylon jaw pliers.
  3. Place the bead on one prong and then insert the other.
  4. You may need to "twist" the finding slightly to ensure the finding goes closes around the bead completely.
  5. Add the ear wire and repeat the above steps to complete the pair.

I think this is an excellent project and would be great in a pinch, when your looking for the just right color earrings. This would be ideal in this situation all you would need to do is change the bead and that would take a few seconds and you have a new pair of earrings. Great job. I just love them.

Just what I needed
This "add a bead" tutorial couldn't have come at a better time! In the past I had bought the findings shown, but I didn't have any inspiration to use them. Since a week I am making earrings for an exhibition that will be held in my town Aalten. Now I can make several earrings with the add-a-bead findings and surprise my competitors! Hahaha

Add-a-Bead Earrings Project
That you for showing how to use these. I was going to buy these last week in gold and silver, but didn't because I could not tell from the picture how to use them.

Perfect use for the products
I had both products but did not think to put them together. I used Black Diamond Orb beads and Silver findings. They are easy to make- but don't open the prongs too far because they didn't want to push tight back together for me. Orb beads have one side with a coating on it,(to me this is the "back") so this finding is great because the shape of the twist keeps the bead with "good front" side showing. (The bead won't flip around.) Thanks!
